Biometric Registration of Students in Fellowship in Epidemiology

Through the sponsorship of the Health-Professional Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI)-Kenya, the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health enrolled 19 students to pursue the recently launched Fellowship in Epidemiology.

The Fellowship in Epidemiology is a two-year course with 9 months of didactic training and an additional 15 months dedicated to research dissertation. The fellowship covers epidemiology, biostatistics, implementation science, and short courses on professional skills.  At the end of this training students will be empowered to provide leadership health in health research and grant writing that will significantly improve the quality of health services at the County.

Having concluded our inaugural intake process last September, the Program in conjunction with the ICT office at the College of Health Sciences, embarked on biometric registration of Fellowship students on 3 January 2020 at the Paediatrics and Clinical Centre.
