After the completion of revamping its system of websites, the University of Nairobi (UoN) has now embarked on generating and uploading quality content aimed at increasing its visibility on the web.

Speaking when he met the website team on 6th December, 2019, UoN acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Mbeche urged the team to work together with the aim of increasing the university’s visibility on the web.

On his part, Prof. Julius Ogeng’o, Deputy Vice Chancellor  Academic Affairs and also doubles up as Chair of Website Steering Committee said visibility is everything for any institution of higher learning and that a website is a very important tool in telling the world who we are as UoN.

“You are the people who will make sure that your respective units are on the world radar. People across the globe will just visit the website and will have a clear picture of who we are and what we do,” Prof. Ogeng’o said.

The website team comprises of the Web Administrative Officers, one for each college, Web Communication Officers, based at the college, Web Support Officers, also based at the college, and Web Champions based in various departments and units at UoN.

During the meeting, a number of strategies aimed at improving the university ranking and visibility were discussed comprehensively.
