CHS scoops 1st runners up position in varsity sports

The College of Health Sciences (CHS) scooped the 1st runners up position during the 3rd edition of the University of Nairobi (UoN) annual sports day 2021.

CHS staff and students showed their prowess in various indoor and outdoor games to emerge the second overall college.

The event which was held on 18th June, 2021 saw both students and staff teams battle it out in different games ranging from football, basketball, athletics, netball, volleyball, tennis, darts, chess, tug of war among others.

The teams were drawn from all UoN colleges and campuses with the College of Biological and Physical Sciences being crowned overall winners for the second year in a row.

UoN Director of Sports and Games Mbaabu Murithi said the main objective of the event was to bring students and staff of UoN together as a community so that they can interact and socialize through the medium of sports.

The theme of this year's event was: Staying safe and healthy through sports.
