Dr. Ombajo: Reopening will be associated with rise in COVID-19 cases

Dr. Ombajo has been on the frontline of case management at KNH since Kenya reported the first coronavirus (COVID-19) case in March 2020.

She talks about the reopening of the country by President Uhuru Kenyatta, when to expect the country to reach the peak, if the country’s health system is able to handle the rising cases of COVID-19, the possibility of lockdown if rising cases are not contained.

Dr. Ombajo and two other UoN staff, Prof. Omu Anzala, and Dr. Marybeth Maritim were among 68 Kenyans who were recognized by President Kenyatta for their distinguished and outstanding service in helping the country steer through the Covid-19 pandemic.
