ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION
The Association of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology students of the University of Nairobi was set up in 2012 after the introduction of BSc (Medical Laboratory Science and Technology) as a course in the university of Nairobi. The association has made great milestones in development and the achievement of its purpose within and without the university fraternity.
At its institution, this was the driving statement and force; “We, The University of Nairobi Medical Laboratory Science and Technology students, recognizing the need for skilled and well-trained medical laboratory scientists, do in our pursuit of academic excellence declare the formation of Association of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology students of the University of Nairobi. The association hereby referred to as AMELSTUN, is non-political and shall be governed in accordance with the provisions made in this constitution, provisions of the University of Nairobi, University of Nairobi Act and the Kenyan constitution.”
Thus far the association has lived the zeal of the pioneers and advanced ahead with even greater prospects of advancement with the increasing popularity of Laboratory Medicine as a discipline.
