Over 600 students were admitted in the recently concluded 2023/2024 1st year admissions. The Faculty of Health Sciences had students from all around the country show up excited for their new academic journey.
The students were taken through biometrics registration where their details were taken to formally have them as students of the university.
The Faculty Dean Prof. George Osanjo together with other heads of departments held an orientation meeting with the students to congratulate them on their new set path.
Among those who spoke were Associate Dean Prof C F Otieno. He shared at length about the importance of the rules and regulations of Medicine school and the consequences of choosing to disobey them. Other heads of department advised and encouraged the students to stay focused on their studies so as to attain graduation at the end of their academic years.
"Stay focused and motivated to succeed," the Dean told the students during his concluding remarks.
He also encouraged them to join co curriculum activities so that the students may not only grow in academics but also outside the classroom by building skills such as team work in sports.
