The Association of Medical Students of the University of Nairobi (AMSUN) held the 2023 elections on 24th November, 2023.
The elections saw more than 20 participants contest for different head positions in the association.
The chairperson position had 3 contestants in total with the winner Mohamed Jamal(MJ) emerging top with a total of 735 votes.
The secretary general race was won by Ignatius Makokha with a total of 928 votes beating his opponent by more than 200 votes.
The pre-clinical representative ballot had 2 contestants. The triumphant party Eddy Spensa Ouma had a total of 955 beating their opponents by 218 votes.
Organizing secretary ballot had 3 contestants. The close race saw the winner Chrispin Odhiambo beat the 1st runner's up Team Ibrahim Hassan Omar(Issa) by only 83 votes.
Other winning contestants included; Vice chairman, Sammy Too Kibet Jnr. The treasurer, Jacob Mboya, the editor, Musomba Eduth Kithei, External affairs Secretary Ms. Benta Kamuti, Sports and Entertainment Secretary, Njonji Nicholas Wamiti and finally Publicity Secretary Queen Jamila Samadi Lazarus.
