The University of Nairobi Students Association - Faculty of Health Sciences (UNSA - FHS) is delighted to extend an invitation to all healthcare students in Kenya to a global health talk on "The Role of Young Medics in Health Security."

This insightful talk will be given by the famous and larger-than-life figure in the field of Global Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Ogwell. He is the Vice President of Global Health Strategies at the UN Foundation, former Deputy Director General of Africa CDC, and an alumnus of the Department of Dental Sciences (BDS) here at the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Dr. Ogwell Ouma returns to give back to the good ole Faculty of Health Sciences, bringing with him 21+ years of extensive experience in public health at national, regional, and global levels. His expertise in health diplomacy, policy, institution-building, and delivery has made him a pivotal figure in addressing the world's greatest public health challenges.

In this talk, Dr. Ogwell will shed light on the critical role of young medical professionals in safeguarding public health, particularly in the context of global health security. His wealth of experience, including leading the response to COVID-19 and a range of other health threats, makes his insights invaluable for aspiring medical professionals.

Transport from Chiromo/Main Campus to KNH and back for the event will be available. Refreshments will also be provided.
