It is always a pleasure and joy to welcome new students to the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The 2022/2023 academic year’s freshmen were admitted from 19th to 21st September, 2022. Over 500 undergraduate students were admitted to pursue different courses offered at the faculty. The courses are medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and dentistry.
The newly admitted students expressed excitement and eagerness to begin the new chapter in their lives-medical school.
On the 3rd day of admission, the Faculty Dean Prof.George Osanjo led the Faculty management in addressing the students and officially welcome them to the Faculty.
During the address, the heads of departments and student leaders introduced themselves to the students. The lecturers took time to advice the students as they transition into a new phase of their lives. They stressed on the importance of nurturing both their academic and social aspects of their lives and encouraged them to join the different clubs and sports.
On his part, the Dean Prof. Osanjo the faculty and staff at the Faculty are committed to the success of the newly admitted students.
“We will walk with you in every step to ensure that you achieve your goal at the University. Always stay focused, even when you falter pick up yourself and forge ahead,” Prof. Osanjo said.
