Celebrating leadership and impact: First Aid Club AGM & Awards 2026

First Aid Club Members Immortalize the fun and impactful experience had at the Community’s 3rd Annual General Meeting and Award ceremony.

The First Aid Club Community, a conglomeration of the First Aid Club, IPPNW – University of Nairobi (UoN) Chapter, and the President's Award Kenya - KNH Campus, recently celebrated yet another year of vibrance, impact, and growth. After a total of over 15 on and off-campus activities throughout the academic year 2025 – 2026, there was no better way to end it all.

Members and leaders were awarded across all three affiliates during the community’s third Annual General Meeting on 20th June 2026 at Lecture Theatre III at the UoN- KNH campus.

The AGM also marked a defining leadership transition, capturing the spirit of stewardship and legacy. In an address that resonated across the hall, the outgoing Club Superintendent Mavine Omondi reflected on a journey that unfolded "somewhere between success and tragedy," before delivering words that became the hallmark of the occasion:

"The offices remain, the club remains; we are merely but its stewards," he said in his address.

The outgoing executive was celebrated for redefining student leadership through bold, people-centered reforms, creating an inclusive environment where members – from their first year in medical school – could access emergency response trainings, leadership opportunities, and community outreach at highly subsidized costs. It was a courageous departure from conventional bureaucratic structures.

As one chapter closed, another opened with equal promise. The incoming leadership assumed office with renewed ambition to expand the club's impact and strengthen community partnerships.

The 2026 AGM reaffirmed the First Aid Club's enduring mission: to nurture self-aware, highly skilled, and socially responsible healthcare professionals equipped to lead beyond hospital walls.
