Over 10 KCSE top performers to study medicine at UoN

More than 10 top performers in 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) will join the University of Nairobi (UoN) Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) to study medicine.

Simiyu Robin Wanjala who topped in the national exams had wished to study medicine at UoN. His dream has come true after the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) placed him to study Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at UoN.

Other top performers who will join UoN to study medicine are; Sharon Chepngeno Terer who was the top girl nationally. Terer will join UoN to study Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree.

Wasonga Allan Udoma, Moriasi Bob Bryson Ongare, Kenneth Oranga, Henry Madaga, Chepkorir Patience, Musomba Edith Kithei, Kiprono Howard, and Buluma Daizy Nerima will all study Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery popularly referred to as MBChB.

On the other hand, Mbugua Esther Wachuchu, who emerged fifth nationally will join UoN to study Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.

In general, data from KUCCPS indicates that UoN will get a big share of the top students who got a mean grade of A. It will admit 360 out of the 869 top students.
