Scholars conducted a study to determine the levels of knowledge, attitudes, and practices of critical care nurses on enteral feeding of critically ill patients.
A sample of 135 critical care nurses from the Kenyatta National Hospital. Out of these, at least 96% had positive attitudes toward enteral feeding of patience in critical care.
The study concluded that the critical care nurses had adequate knowledge, positive attitudes, and competent practices on enteral nutrition.
Even though the knowledge and attitudes of the critical care unit nurses was adequate, the study recommends constant medical training of nurses to maintain a high level of knowledge, positive attitudes, and competent practices on enteral nutrition.
