Tunisia Health Alliance and Kenya Healthcare Federation collaboration with CHS

The University of Nairobi (UoN) College of Health Sciences (CHS) on Monday 14th December, 2020 hosted a delegation from Tunisia Health Alliance and Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF).  The delegation was received by CHS Principal, Prof. James Machoki M’Imunya and Dr. Peter Arimi, Technical Lead, Operations, Strategic Partnerships and Linkages, Center for Research, Innovation and Grants Advancement (CERIGA) 

The Tunisia delegation, consisting of the private health sector, training institutions, pharma manufacturers and ministry of health representatives were on a 3-day visit to Kenya for fact finding, sharing of best practices, and learning on matters Health. UoN-CHS and the delegation discussed potential areas of collaboration, including private public partnerships and higher education training exchange programs.

KHF and UoN CHS have formulated a partnership framework of mutual benefit to both organizations through collaboration in the areas of professional health training, digital health innovation, health system research and health quality improvement.

The two organizations plan to collaborate in seeking opportunities, where appropriate, to facilitate transformation of health and care services to more digitized, person-centered, personalized and community-based care models, through interoperable data as an enabler and with innovative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Big Data analytics as essential building blocks and enablers for better collection and sharing of information, improve quality and reach of health service delivery, and enhance decision-making by governments, health workers, and individuals.
