
Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency(KEMSA) held a free medical camp on Saturday 5th October in Manunga Health Centre, Kipipiri in Nyandarua County The medical camp which focused on screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD’s) such as Hypertension and Diabetes saw over 500 people of varied demographics benefit from free consultation, diagnosis, medication and referral for further specialized care to Ol-Kalau Hospital in Nyandarua and KNH
Speaking during the event, KNH Ag. CEO Dr. Evanson Kamuri who led the team, said that KNH has been and will continue to partner with various organizations, with an aim of transforming lives of citizens across the country.
“This initiative is part of the efforts of the President’s big four agenda to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable to all Kenyans.” Said Dr KamuriAccess to quality healthcare remains a challenge for many Kenyans in several parts of the country and it is for this reason that KNH organizes free medical camps across the country on a regular basis, to ensure community members in need benefit from these services.
The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Mrs. Sicily Kariuki also graced the event where she applauded KNH for extending specialized healthcare services at the community level.
