Prof. Mutuku A. Mwanthi is an Associate Professor of Community/Public Health Sciences (Environmental & Occupational Health and Safety). Prof Mwanthi holds a Ph.D. Community Health Sciences (Major, Environmental & Occupational Health) from School of Public Health, The University of Texas, Health Science Center at Houston, Texas, USA. He also holds a MSEH (MSC) Environmental Health from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee, USA as well as a BSc.in Biology with Minor in Chemistry, Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas. He has served for 6 years as Chairman of what formerly was the Department of Community Health and spearheaded the committee whose work culminated to transformation of the department to a School of Public Health, University of Nairobi, in 2010.rof.
