Welcome to Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty was established on 3rd July, 1967. Over the years we have trained thousands of health and medical specialists who are spread across the globe.
The Faculty offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Medicine, Pharmacy,
Nursing, and Dental Sciences.
The Faculty of Health Sciences has been playing a leading role in providing health care in East and Central Africa region through vigorous training of both undergraduate and postgraduate students and continuous research in day-day health issues.
The Faculty has been offering specialized services at Kenyatta National Hospital, Mathare
Hospital, as well as at the University of Nairobi Dental Hospital. One of the major milestones in the Faculty was the successful separation of the two-year-old Siamese twins on November 1,
2016 by leading experts drawn from the Kenyatta National Hospital and University of Nairobi.
The Faculty is also playing a leading role in advising the government on how to combat Covid- 19 pandemic and other diseases. Our mission is:” To provide quality medical education for optimal health care through research, innovation and utilisation of knowledge, attitude and skills.”
