The Association of Medical Students of the University of Nairobi (AMSUN) is pleased to inform you that it is hosting the 12th edition of the AMSUN Scientific Conference on the 9th and 10th of June 2022.
The Theme for the Conferenceย โResearch Today for a Healthier Tomorrow,โ reminds us of the importance of making resource and effort investmentsย in research for a transformed wholesome life in the future. The goals of this yearโs conference include:
1.ย ย ย ย ย To spur interest in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship among medical students.
2.ย ย ย ย ย To provide a platform for medical students who have carried out research to share their findings.
3.ย ย ย ย ย To equip medical students with soft skills like leadership, professional conferencing and presentationย in preparation for their professional careers.
4.ย ย ย ย ย To foster networks between senior colleagues and upcoming professionals.
During the previous conferences, AMSUN has experienced immense success. For example, the inspiration students gained from seeing their colleagues present award-winning research at the 2019 conference, prompted hundreds of them to be involved in research.ย
Further, the Health-Professional Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI) โ Kenya, has upto date facilitated more than 150 students as part of their research elective.
The event shall be heldย at the Chandaria Centre for Performing Arts, UoN Towers.Various speakers and panelists shall be in attendance. Prior ticketing registration shall be needed for students and Covid measures strictly adhered to. For those unable to attend physically online updates and highlights shall be streamedย through all AMSUN's social media pages and the University of Nairobi pages.
