Faculty of Health Sciences on 29th November. Inset: A group of pre-clinical students sharing a light moment with their mentor, a senior student guiding them through their early steps in medicine. The calm weekend corridors form a fitting backdrop, highlighting both the serenity of the campus and the warmth of peer mentorship.
The First Aid Club marked 29th November 2025 with a transformative Clinical Orientation Program at Kenyatta National Hospital, offering first- and second-year students an early window into the world they will soon inhabit.
From exploring the university’s key administrative hubs to mapping out the clinical departments that shape senior-year training, participants gained clarity on how their academic foundations connect to future patient care.
Guided tours through essential facilities – library, morgue, and major service points – helped demystify the hospital environment, while visits to the paediatric and labour wards offered an inspiring glimpse into real clinical practice. The day’s message resonated strongly: early exposure is a compass that sharpens purpose, confidence, and professionalism.
Reflections at the close revealed renewed motivation, gratitude, and a strengthened sense of belonging within the medical community. The Club expressed appreciation to all staff and partners who made the experience possible, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing smooth transitions from pre-clinical learning to the clinical frontline.
With more student-centred initiatives planned, the First Aid Club continues to cultivate a culture where budding clinicians grow through exposure, service, and the steady embrace of their future calling.
