FHS students shine at 2026 University of Nairobi student recognition and awards ceremony

Seventy-eight students from the Faculty of Health Sciences were among the outstanding awardees recognized during the 2026 University of Nairobi Student Recognition and Awards Ceremony.

The colorful ceremony brought together university leadership, faculty members, donors, parents, and students in a powerful affirmation of the University’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates prepared to contribute meaningfully to national and global development.

A total of 736 students from across the University of Nairobi were recognized during the ceremony, which was supported by 108 University Prize donors across the University’s ten faculties. The awards celebrated exemplary achievement in academics, leadership, research, innovation, sports, and community engagement.

The strong representation from the Faculty of Health Sciences highlighted the dedication, resilience, and excellence demonstrated by its students in various disciplines within the health sector.

Their recognition reflects the Faculty’s role in training future healthcare professionals and leaders equipped to address emerging health challenges locally and globally.

Speaking during the event, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Hutchinson commended the students for their hard work and urged them to continue pursuing excellence, integrity, and service in their academic and professional journeys.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity to appreciate the continued support of donors and partners whose contributions help motivate and empower students to achieve their full potential.
