The University of Nairobi congratulates Prof. Moses Obimbo Madadi for being recognized among the 100 most influential Africans in 2024 in the field of Science and Academia by the New African magazine.
The London based magazine released its highly anticipated annual listing of the 100 Most Influential Africans of 2024 to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Africans from various fields and sectors who have made a positive impact on the continent and the world over the past year.
Prof. Obimbo, an obstetrician and gynecologist, is the Chairman of the Department of Human Anatomy and Medical Physiology was elated to have made it to the list stating that it will inspire him to keep making contributions to the field of maternal and children health.
“This recognition is a reminder that much work needs to be done to impact maternal and children health, as well as overall human health. I am honored to be acknowledged as a promising African scientist and am motivated to continue contributing to this exciting field,” Prof. Obimbo said.
The Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society (KOGS) where Prof. Obimbo serves as the Honorary Secretary congratulated him for making it to the list.
“KOGS is absolutely elated to share that our Distinguished Hon. Sec. Prof. Moses Obimbo Madadi, has been Honored as One Of The ‘100 Most Influential Africans of 2024’. Globally celebrated in the Prestigious Science & Academia category! by The London-Based New African Magazine,” KOGS said in a statement.
