The University of Nairobi has been selected as one of the universities globally to compete for the Global Hult Prize award of $1,000,000, the students formed teams of 3-4 team members and registered to participate in the competitions. We received more than 500 team applications (more than 2000 students).
This year the theme for the challenge is "Transforming food into a vehicle for change". We anticipate that the students will be innovative to address the challenges of food at the global level, ranging from unhealthy food, too much food going to waste, irrigation techniques, technology in farming etc.
The Three (3) best teams will represent the University at the regionals in 3 different cities around the world and later at the finals in the United States, UN HQ, New York.
We, therefore, write to you to request your availability to help in selecting the best teams in the Quarter finals which will be happening virtually on the 30th October, 2020 from 10am to 1pm EAT.
