Elderly care across continents: Comparison between Kenyan and German Geriatric health

There exists a fascinating contrast when comparing Geriatric care, the specialized medical attention for the elderly, in Kenya and Germany.

This distinction in medical care was discussed during a panel session hosted by the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) in collaboration with the Global Heart Berlin-Nairobi exchange program on 30th April 2026.

Bridging education: UoN and University of Gothenburg, Sweden plan to forge global education ties

Representatives from the University of Gothenburg led by Prof. Gunnel Hellgren and Mrs. Ingeborg Herbertsson with UoN-FHS’s Dr Francis Wanyama and Dr Ezekiel Mecha flunked by FHS students at FHS campus.

In the quest to bridge education globally the University of Nairobi (UoN) is developing a plan to forge a collaborative academic partnership with the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

This initiative aims to share expertise, enhance the quality of education and research between the two institutions and to identify potential areas for collaboration and mutual growth.
