Dept of Surgery receives donation of Indocyanine Green machine

The Indocyanine Green Company, based in the UK, donated an Indocyanine Green (ICG) machine to the University of Nairobi's Department of Surgery, greatly improving patient care.

This cutting-edge equipment is essential for treating lymphoedema, a disorder that frequently develops following breast surgery or as a result of elephantiasis, a condition that complicates treatment by accumulating lymphatic fluid.

Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) Run

We are thrilled to announce the Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) Run happening on 6th October, 2024. This impactful event will bring together medical students, healthcare professionals, and the general public to raise awareness on postpartum hemorrhage and its prevention.

The Cabinet Secretary for Health and other key dignitaries will grace the event.

AMSUN holds the 3rd white coat ceremony

On the 31st of August 2024, the Association of Medical Students of the University of Nairobi (AMSUN) held the 3rd white coat ceremony. This colorful event saw more than two hundred first year medical students cloaked in white coats and inaugurated in the journey of medical training.

The event was graced by Dr. Michael Magoha, a neurosurgeon and lecturer at the University of Nairobi Department of Surgery.
