FHS scoops best performing faculty award

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) emerged the best performing faculty during the University of Nairobi annual performance contract signing and staff recognition awards held on 27th November, 2023.

The two in one event had the top officials signing their performance contracts in the presence of other members of faculty and staff. The ceremony marked an important step in ensuring high standards of service delivery to clients of the University.

AMSUN Elections 2023

The Association of Medical Students of the University of Nairobi (AMSUN) held the 2023 elections on 24th November, 2023.
The elections saw more than 20 participants contest for different head positions in the association.
The chairperson position had 3 contestants in total with the winner Mohamed Jamal(MJ) emerging top with a total of 735 votes.

UoN scholar conducts groundbreaking study on brucellosis in Kenya

Athman Mwatondo, a PhD scholar from the University of Nairobi's Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology has led a critical study on brucellosis, a neglected zoonotic disease impacting humans and livestock.

This research that is part of his ongoing doctoral research was supervised by his mentors Dr. Marianne Mureithi and Dr. Stephen Gichuhi both from UoN, alongside Dr. Bernard Bett from the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
