Building Capacity for Writing Scientific Manuscripts: Call for Applications - Mentors, 2023

“UANDISHI-Building Capacity for Writing Scientific Manuscripts” is an innovative and experiential training program in mentoring and scientific manuscript writing aimed at building capacity for writing scientific manuscripts, at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) University of Nairobi (UoN).  This program complements other training programs within FHS/UoN, and is hosted at KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research.

FHS maintains top class performance at staff award ceremony

The Faculty of Health Sciences produced a stellar performance at the University of Nairobi annual Staff Performance and Recognition Award Ceremony held on Monday, 5th December 2022.  

The Department of Medical microbiology and immunology emerged the best department overall in the performance contract for Financial Year 2021/2022 for the second year in a row.

World Prematurity Day 2022

The University of Nairobi (UoN) through its USAID funded Fahari ya Jamii project joined the rest of the world in commemorating World Prematurity Day at Pumwani Maternity Hospital in Nairobi County.

The occasion was graced by the Health CS Susan Nakhumicha who noted that preventing deaths among babies born too soon is a public health priority.
