Medical students share their experience during electives in France

On the 11th of November 2022 the University of Nairobi Faculty of Health Sciences French club; AFRÉME convened a meeting for some of its members to share their experience during their elective in Paris,France for six weeks.

The three speakers Esperancia Kapanga, Nikita Muthuri and Diana Lughanje covered various facets of their experiences both within and without the hospital including their travel not only within France but also to various other countries across Europe.

USAID Fahari ya Jamii hosts USAID delegates for Community Health Strategy Learning Experience

On November 9, 2022, the USAID Fahari Jamii project, in collaboration with Nairobi City County, received a delegation from the US Agency for International Development Kenya and East Africa (USAID/KEA) at the Milimani village and Lunga Lunga health center in Viwandani Ward. The visit's objective was to interact with the community health systems for sustained health service delivery in reproductive, maternal, child, and adolescent health, family planning, and WASH.
 

Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery (VRiMS)

The Operation Theater Practitioners Alliance of Kenya (OTPAK) in collaboration with Professor Jag Dhanda from Brighton and Sussex Medical School held an educational workshop for Kenyan physicians.

Over the course of 3 days, attendees were lectured on multiple concepts, ranging from virtual reality to fracture management, and taught multiple surgical procedures on cadavers.
