School of Pharmacy marks 50 years with free medical camp serving nearly 1,000 Kibra residents

The University of Nairobi School of Pharmacy celebrated its golden jubilee by giving back to the community through a free medical camp held on Friday, 22nd August 2025, at Olympic Primary School, Kibra Sub-County, Nairobi.

The camp, organized by the University of Nairobi Faculty of Pharmacy Alumni Association, brought together healthcare professionals, students, and partners to provide free medical services to residents of Kibra and its environs.

Faculty of Health Sciences adopts innovative surgical training technology

The University of Nairobi Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) has embraced a new chapter in medical education with the introduction of Proximie’s telepresence technology, a platform that allows real-time surgical collaboration and teaching.

Speaking during the launch, Dean FHS Prof. George Osanjo said the technology will transform how medical students and residents are trained.

Faculty of Health Sciences welcomes over 600 new students

The University of Nairobi Faculty of Health Sciences has admitted 620 new students for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The students, who reported on Monday, 18th August, 2025, will pursue degree programs in Dentistry, Pharmacy, Medicine and Surgery, and Nursing.

On Wednesday, the Faculty hosted a formal welcome and orientation ceremony, highlighted by the address by the Dean, Prof. George Osanjo.
