The Faculty of Health Sciences had the distinct honor of welcoming the President of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation courtesy of AI 4 Adolescent HealthCare Project.

During the visit, the Faculty proudly launched MOOVE—the Massive Online Open Validation and Evaluation platform. This cutting-edge initiative is designed to transform the future of healthcare research, education, and clinical practice.

UoN alumna elected World Medical Association President

Dr. Jacqueline Kitulu, an alumna of the University of Nairobi is the new World Medical Association (WMA) President for the 2025/2026 term.

Dr. Kitulu beat Prof. Caldas Alfonso of the Portuguese Medical Association in a hotly contested election held at the 75th WMA General Assembly in Helsinki, Finland.

She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Nairobi.

Dept of Surgery receives donation of Indocyanine Green machine

The Indocyanine Green Company, based in the UK, donated an Indocyanine Green (ICG) machine to the University of Nairobi's Department of Surgery, greatly improving patient care.

This cutting-edge equipment is essential for treating lymphoedema, a disorder that frequently develops following breast surgery or as a result of elephantiasis, a condition that complicates treatment by accumulating lymphatic fluid.
